According to Gwinnett County Public Schools' Grading Procedures:
"It is important that all students and parents be fully informed about teachers' grading/evaluation procedures and standards at the beginning of a course of study. All teachers in grades 9-12 will prepare and distribute course syllabi which are expressed in terms of AKS learner objectives to be used for each course of study and will file copies of the syllabi with the subject area department chairs or with the principal and/or his/her designee.
Each student will indicate in writing that he/she has received a syllabus for each course. Students should be encouraged to take these syllabi home to parents."
Every GSMST Music Student will receive their course syllabus at the beginning of the academic year, and parents will be asked to sign and have their students return a statement indicating the syllabus has been reviewed.
